We received an order for a relatively simple 2-layer power controller PCB board. However, beyond the soldermask and silkscreen, this project carried a mission of compassion, public benefit, and community empowerment.

The PCB board we manufactured had the following technical parameters:

  • Copper Thickness: 1 oz
  • Board Thickness: 1.6 mm
  • Soldermask: Green
  • Silkscreen: White

Component Assembly

A standout feature of this board was the integration of a large integrated circuit (IC) with more than 18 pins. The IC was not a common component, and its complexity required careful handling during the SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) and wave soldering processes.

To ensure quality:

  • Our technicians manually verified the placement.
  • We optimized the wave soldering temperature profile.
  • The assembled boards passed stringent Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) checks.

Despite the technical simplicity, the client’s story elevated this project to a higher level of significance.

The customer, based in Shanghai, co-founded a company with several friends. What sets their enterprise apart is its core philosophy: social entrepreneurship. The founders are public welfare enthusiasts who established an Angel Fund to support charitable causes.

  • One such initiative was the Hope Primary School in Chengdu, the ultimate beneficiary of this PCB order.

When we learned about the customer’s mission, we were deeply moved. Public welfare is embedded in our company culture as well. Every year, we voluntarily organize two charity activities.

Example: Nursing Home Visit in Dalian

In April, we visited a nursing home in Dalian. Each department selected two delegates to:

  • Accompany and converse with elderly residents
  • Read books, watch television, and engage in games
  • Donate quilts, books, and clothing

  • 500 diapers
