Project Background：
This PCBA project is a virtual assistant that combines high power Software and IoT modules to optimize irrigation, weather forecasts, detect pest and diseases, maximize fertilizers, giving real time recommendations for farmers with actionable insights. Manage all of your crops data measuring parameters of soil, weather, irrigation and plant conditions from IoT devices and third party satellite and drone providers. It is applied to the detection of farmland equipment, can monitor the status of farmland in real time, mining the potential productivity of crops.
PCB description：
2-layer PCB board with 1.6mm thickness, green sold mask oil with white silk screen. The surface finish technology is lead-free hot air solder level. The TG is 130, within the standard range. The copper thickness is 1/1 OZ, which is a relatively simple board, but the panel is a bit more complicated.
The panel is 9 pcs, 3 by 3. There is a 5mm board edge between the two PCBs, which serves as the point of impact and supports the module. The board edge of this board is also special. Because there are only two resistors on the back side except for the module, which is also due to the problem of the module, so the side of the plate is also 10mm, which is more stable than the 7mm commonly used. PCB edge increases four positioning holes and asymmetric mark points , which requires at least a pair of diagonal asymmetry, mark points (Φ = 1.6 mm) center distance edge 3.5 mm.

Soldering Problems and Solutions：
The customer don’t have test, so we find colding soldering during the quality inspection part. There is a module on the printed circuit board, find cold soldering after mounting. By comparing the defective module and the good module, it is found that there are obvious gaps between the soldering module and the circuit board, which indicates that there are foreign matter on the surface of the PCB or the welding pad is not smooth.
In the before order, due to the wrong PCB panel design, the machine has no place to support the PCB when mounting the module on other side, which cause some cold soldering, bring a series of problems to the later detection and repair.
So we repair these cold soldering by manual hand, a total of 80 legs. The production staff’s rich working experience and the strict requirements of the quality inspector can guarantee the delivered PCBA’s quality.

The customer’s PCB panel design may not consider the actual production problem, because there is no practical experience.
