This electronic PCB board for American customer, is used for Smart Home System, it is a display board. We can see there are many indicator lights on the circuit board, different color of light on indicate different situations.
This PCB is FR-4 material, two layers. In order to facilitate the later assembly process, we made two pieces PCB into one panel, and added 7MM edges on the long sides. We usually add asymmetric mark points and positioning holes to the edges of the circuit board, to facilitate the automatic solder paste machine and automatic assembly machine identification.
Components are also being purchased while PCBs are being produced. All the components are original to guarantee the quality. Even so, we do not relax the inspection of components. When each kind of components arrived, we will have professional technicians to check the model and quantity, then transfer them to the IQC department to check the quality of all PCB pads and components, after checking and ensure the components have no problems, they inform SMT department to arrange the next process.
This is a single-sided assembled and plugins electric circuit board.
First of all, our SMT engineer program the automatic assembly machine, all the SMT components of this printed circuit board are completed by it, from adding the tin to finish assembly are fully automated. Our technicians will observe whether all the components are soldered well after the production is finished. Then our technicians plug in the components to their corresponding positionby hands according to the bom and design drawings, then go through wave soldering, after that, QA department will check the status of all components.
Next, our engineers should install programs for each display electronic board. The customer provided us with a program machine– MPQ Programmer. Firstly, load PCBAs to MPQ Programmer, from P4 to P1. Secondly, then connect power plug to boards from P4 to P1 and switch on. Lastly, observe MPQ Programmer interface to see it is pass or fail.
After programming, the circuit boards need to perform the self-diagnostic and switch test.
Test 1, connect a 5V supply to the power adapter one the PCBA and observe the status. If there is no problem with quality or procedure, it will occur such phenomenon: LED1 flash momentarilly→ LB1 turns on → RGB1, RGB2 and RGB3 cycle through its colors → The light bar will cycle on each LED Bar(from LB1 to LB6,and stop at LB6).
Test 2, enable the test mode by moving SWD1 switch position 1 to off. Press the switch of SWB2, SWB1, SWA3 and SWA2 successively to see whether the corresponding RGB light is cycle through their available colors. If all is ok, move SWD1 switch position 1 to the on position, all the RGB lights will in white, and the LED1&LB1 set to on. At this time, all the tests are finished.
When we testing these PCB boards, we found the light on many PCB did not turn on for the first time we connect the power supply, after the power is disconnected and reconnected, it runs normally. Our engineers analyzed that perhaps these PCB boards need to be electrically activated. We tested the boards again and again and found no problem. We fed back this situation to the customer, they agreed with us.
At last, technicians from the OQC department perform a final inspection for each PCBA. The printed circuit boards assembly which have passed the final inspection can be labeled as required by the customer, and use multilayer PP foam packaging to protect PCBA.
Our company made some sample circuit boards at the beginning of this year. After receiving the samples, the customer conducted the tests, all PCBA passed their tests. They soon placed mass order to us, our PCBA mass production still maintain good quality, and strive for better market competitiveness for our customer, their products sold well, they place another mass order to our company this month.
